Erin Wagner Receives Adler Memorial Scholarship
The Gary Adler Memorial Scholarship is presented to a graduating male and female high school volleyball athlete. Only those athletes who best exemplify sportsmanship, leadership, and a love for the game will be considered. Two scholarships will be awarded annually at a value of $500 each.
Gary Adler was a junior National official with WEVA and much more. Gary was an official in volleyball and other sports at the high school and college levels. Gary was always supportive to anyone of any age or walk of life, ready to help or make you feel better about what you were doing or who you were. Gary loved the young people in WEVA and they loved him.
Erin has been on the Gates Chili HS Volleyball team for 4 years and Premiere for 3 years. During the high school season she volunteered her time with the middle school modified teams. She was also in charge of the recreational volleyball program at YMCA Camp Gorham where she worked as a counselor.
The 18-1 team and their families sported breast cancer awareness club shirts at the Capitol Hill Classic in Washington, DC.
All of the teams and families were encouraged to wear pink on the second day of the tournament to support the cause.
14-1's take 2nd in the gold brackets in their last two tourneys, Lake Effect & White Out.
 
The 18-2 team after their Silver Bracket Championship at the BNCC Snowflake Showdown on 1/23. They won the finals in 3, with an intense 18-16 victory in the 3rd & final game.
