Tournament Playing Time Policy
Playing time is important to every girl. Premiere Volleyball Club wishes for each girl to play, which is one of the reasons why each team formed will have no more than 12 players. Although Premiere Volleyball Club wishes to see each girl improve and reach her full potential, playing time at tournaments is rarely guaranteed or ‘equal’. Coaches are encouraged to play every girl a ‘fair’ amount during pool play. A ‘fair’ amount may not be an equal amount. Playing time is decided by the coach and is determined by, but not limited to the following reasons:
1. A player’s attitude.
2. A player’s skill level. 3. A player’s work ethic. 4. A player’s attendance at practice. 5. A player’s willingness to put into matches skills learned in practice.
Players must realize the importance of using the skills learned in practice during the matches. This allows the coaches to see what skills players excel at, and what skills still need to be refined. Remember, you are paying for quality practice instruction, and the right to participate in the tournament. You are not paying for court time.
